Psi-at-Large Chapter Charter Amended with Two Additional Schools

Northwest University Buntain School of Nursing and Olympic College School of Nursing were added to the Psi-at-Large Chapter of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) on September 23, 2017.   Dr. Sandra Bibb, an executive director of STTI, served as guest speaker and oversaw the chartering ceremony and induction of new community nurse leaders and junior and senior baccalaureate nursing students who rank in the upper 35 percent of their graduating classes and have achieved academic excellence.

Dr. Bibb currently is dean and professor, College of Health Professions at Wichita State University (WSU) in Wichita, Kansas.  Dr. Bibb served for three decades in the U.S. Navy as an active duty nurse. While on active duty, she established and served in many leadership roles where she led interprofessional healthcare teams in the design and delivery of population-based healthcare.  Victoria Hayward, Olympic College faculty and Psi-at-Large’s Community Nurse Leader Liaison, and Anne Mulligan, Olympic College Counselor, are also retired Navy Nurse Corps Officers and enjoyed welcoming Dr. Bibb to the chapter event.

Left to Right STTI members Victoria Hayward, Dr. Sandra Bibb, and Dr. Anne Mulligan
Nurse Leaders from VA Puget Sound Health Care System were inducted during the Amendment Ceremony.
